Once you hit the Beaches of South Walton you quickly realize that there are more beaches from which to choose than you can shake a stick at. The author of this article (Cynthia Calvert) found this to be exactly the case on a recent trip to the Pan Handle. While she made the mistake of not staying at For Heaven’s Sake, she did lay out quite the description of beaches, restaurants and things to do that would be useful to even the most frequent South Walton visitor.
Highway 30A in South Walton runs along the “Emerald Coast” of Florida stretching over 26 miles of sugar sand beaches and crystal, aquamarine water made possible by exactly that –the powder white sand, sparkling clear water of the Gulf and blue skies above. It’s distinctly like many Caribbean beaches!
